The MANTSHOxHM collaboration has been of particular interest to me since the very minute it was announced to be in the works. I couldn’t quite place my finger on exactly how the collaboration would translate to global markets, yet still remain true to the core values of the Mantsho brand, African prints and textures. However, Ihat I did know was that Africa was ready!
On a fine Wednesday night, I missioned to Victoria Yards, which mind you, I’d never been to before. It seemed like quite a random location for such an occasion. However, because I know just how well researched and strategic the H&M team is when it comes to creating a full on brand experience, I knew it would be a night to remember!

Once people had settled into the venue and had the opportunity to view the highly aticipated MantshoxHM pieces , we got an electric celebratory dance display from the very models who feature in the campaign advertorial. By then, the energy in the room was electric!
It was then time to get to the crux of it all and understand just how the MantshoxHM collaboration came about.
Check out my vlog below for a clip of the panel discussion moderated by Unathi, as well as visuals to help you better understand the kind of night it was!

The MantshoxHM pieces are available in all H&M flagship stores as well as online. Sizes range from size 34 to 48 , at price points starting at R329.00 to R1 499.00 . Certainly a steal for a Mantsho piece! For those below size 34 like me, there are also lovely accessories you can get your hands on.
What I enjoyed about working with H&M is that they did not want a diluted version or watered down version of Mantsho. They said we love the Mantsho signature brand. Can you create new prints that we can go global with. – Palesa Mokubung
