If there’s one thing I love to accessorize with it’s a great pair of sunnies. They’re basically the statement maker to any look you’re trying to achieve. Plus, we survive some days of the week with Coffee and sunglasses right?!
My selection is very often the blacks and other neutral tones. However, with this outfit in mind, I decided to throw on a pair of Gucci shades. These babies have the right amount of tint on the lenses, enough for me to still remain in my safe zone as well as remain “accessible” to those I’m engaging with.
As you can tell, this is definitely a lunch with the girls kind of outfit – the perfect day time look. I purchased the top from The Fix, under their newly launched New Lust Haves campaign. Everything is quite “Eastern dreamy” from this range. With pieces ranging from luxe kimonos, embroidery denim, bodysuits right up to bombers. This shade of blue made the cut because it has such playful sleeves, the right amount of skin reveal as well as an interesting play on color… plus, I knew I had the pleather skirt from H&M I hadn’t taken for a spin.
What I love most about this skirt is the texture it adds to any look. This A-line mini-skirt in burgundy is from the H&M AW17 Studio collection, and what I like about this collection is it definitely has been perfectly tailored to enhance the female silhouette. The skirt sits comfortably on the waist but I definitely would have enjoyed a better fit for my tiny waist. Another piece of fine detailing when it comes to this skirt is in the contrast stitching and zip slant pockets.
The gold members carrying me around are from YDE. I love scrappy heels because they draw away the attention from my toes (lol) , but more importantly they keep my feet secure and in place when things get slippery. These also did the perfect job at piecing this outfit together by picking up the colors from my top.
