Lunch at 69

By now you may have probably realised that I’m quite an advocate for simplicity with an edge. And by edge, I’m talking about incorporating the latest trends into my day to day looks. For this particular look I have incorporated the bell bottoms trend which the hippie in me absolutely dies for. I have also incorporated the faux fur from my leather jacket which you can wear as a faux fur shawl during the day, and re attach it back onto the jacket as it gets cooler in the day. If there’s one thing I love to accessorize with it’s a great pair of sunnies. They’re basically the statement maker to any look you’re trying to achieve. Plus, we survive some days of the week with Coffee and sunglasses right?! My selection is very often the blacks and other neutral tones. However, with this outfit in mind, I decided to throw on a pair of Gucci shades. These babies have the right amount of tint on the lenses, enough for me to still remain in my safe zone as well as remain “accessible” to those I’m engaging with. I had the lovely opportunity of being exclusively invited to The Saxon for a one of a kind “fashion show” hosted by designer Gert-Johan Coetzee. With only 40 guests invited, we were treated to welcome drinks and eats before being ushered into an intimate auditorium where we were welcomed by the man of the moment himself. Gert went on to give us a brief introduction of his new range of quality handbags and how they’re each uniquely designed to embrace the different lifestyles of a GJC girl. We’ve seen a lot of clothing color preference change with each season change. However, it’s the primary colors which have been staples regardless of season. Some of us may have forgotten our primary school teaching of what primary colors are, so let’s refresh. Any of a group of colours from which all other colours can be obtained by mixing. The primary colors are respectively Red, Blue and yellow. All other colors of the rainbow are a combination of these primary colors. Season in, season out, these colors have remained a large part of everyones wardrobe – young and old. This season for me is something really special. I have made the conscious decision of being bold about everything I do, even in my quite moments.   I put together this look not only with BOLD in mind in its physical appearance but how this look made me feel too. I’m so obsessed with these pants I purchased at Topshop more especially because I can dress them up or down.
