For the longest time, taking care of my hands hasn’t been at the top of the list of my priorities. I don’t seem to enjoy how any moisturizer, except for Vaseline, feels on my hands. However, of late I’ve been making a conscious effort to moisturize and care for my hands as I do for my face and feet. I mean, who wants crusty hands and feet anyway? Aside from looking crusty, the long term benefits of taking care of your hands by using a hand cream are definitely worth it. Our hands are our everything. Not an hour of the day goes by without us having to use our hands, and so this important tool deserves our attention. Our hands go through the absolute most, touching and handling all sorts of surfaces, shaking hands and getting in contact with harsh chemicals which have a harmful effect on our skin.…

Whether you’re headed off to the the movies or stepping out for Friday night festivities with the ladies, a humble white T and a pair of blue jeans are the perfect go to for a simple look. Both items are not only versatile, but they have a cool and easy going feel to them. However, I have decided switched up the concept of a humble white T and jeans for a little bit of an edgy look which also adheres to current trends and is perfect for any season! “I have often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity.” – Yves Saint Lauren Let’s take a moment and explore the variety of denims currently making waves in the market. For one, ripped/distressed jeans are definitely a thing! Another personal favorite…

So once upon a time, I took a look into baes wardrobe and found myself putting together a couple of looks for… ME! From shirts to bomber jackets, I absolutely love menswear and will definitely be sharing more of such looks. It’s something about the appeal it has and how comfortable and cosy it makes me feel. I’m sure many of you can admit socks and hoodies make top 5 of the list of MUST JACK’s in your mans clothes, especially this winter. This look works perfectly for those lazy days where you want an effortless look which still looks pretty dope. I went super army with this one in my sock boots from Dolce Vita and a unique T-Shirt purchased during a visit to the Johannesburg Zoo. Wild much? “Style is an expression of individualism mixed with charisma. Fashion is something that comes after style. Alternatively, you can pair…

One of the freshest styles to hit us for Summer/Spring has been that of Mesh clothing. From mesh swimwear, sweaters to mesh overlays on dresses. When styled right, mesh can allow you to create a variety of looks to match your personal style. And now, enter the Metallic Shimmer Mesh. I spotted this blue/purple metallic shimmer mesh tee while shopping at The Fix. What struck me most about the tee was the metallic effect, and how there were two color ways to the top making it quite eventful. The metallic element will give quite an edgy effect to ANY outfit. I personally decided to keep the undergarment quite simple and wore a black bandeau which I also purchased from The Fix. Alternatively, you can wear this tee with a simple bralette or even a bikini top. Well then, what about the winter season? No, we’re not chucking the mesh just…

Living in the beautiful city of Durban, my personal style is not only about being chic but ensuring absolute comfort through out my day activities. First and foremost, let me be very candid and tell you guys that I actually had a previous assumption that HUSH Puppies was actually a brand worn by the “oldies”. To my surprise, when I had a look at their website I was able to put together a good selection of favorites. The variety that hush puppies offers allows me to move from a Soft style shoe when I’m taking a strol along the beach to a well detailed sandal or loafers for my lunch dates with the girls. For soft style, I went with a brown strip slip on. And finally, for my lunch dates and evenings out I chose this comfortable flirty glittery style with a hint of gold. Let me know what your favorite…

Hey guys! So I recently had the opportunity of working with head photographer for @72_photography who also has an online magazine called Urban Fashion Lifestyle which he runs with a great team. UFL is an online magazine which truly reflects South African style. With topics ranging from street style to trending looks, conversations with style experts and coverage at fashion weeks, UFL is definitely making moves in the fashion industry. I also genuinely enjoy the platform they afford models to share their “come up” stories. An extension of UFL which is my personal favorite is their YouTube channel. I’ve always connected better to articles with great visuals and personality behind each article, and their YouTube channel offers just that! They have featured quite a few of my personal favorite SA Stylista’s with an interesting take on fashion and creatively allowing for each Stylista to represent themselves and their personal style…

Hey lovelies, I hope you’ve had a great kick start to the year! Still on style and fashion trends, I’ve decided to share My personal favourite accessories which have closed off the year 2016 and should take 2017 by an even bigger storm. Some may argue that shoes don’t make the cut to be called accessories and are simply an item of clothing, so each to their own on this one. PVC I’ve been about this PVC trend for a while now. From umbrellas to rain coats they’ve always captured my eye and I actually ended up a rain jacket ( which I’ve only ever worn once). Just seeing it hanging in my wardrobe game me the greatest joy! But, right now we’re chatting PVC shoes. This growing trend is quite a tricky one to say the least. It’s NOT for everyone, more especially the boots if you’ve got big…

PLUM is a fashion brand that has been supplying South Africa for over 15 years with unique fashion forward footwear. They pride themselves on outstanding quality and the latest international trends adapted to the South African market. I had the opportunity to pick a few pairs to try out. As I step into summer I had to throw in a pair that’s BOLD in color. However, I couldn’t resist selecting some tan shades as you can pull them off with basically every outfit. My favorite staple that everyone should have in their shoe collection, The PLUM Alexis Court Heel. I must admit I was quite torn between choosing black or going bananas with the yellow, I did however end up going with the Fuchsia. It’s basically one of those shoes which you end up buying in every color! The PLUM Lassie Ankle boot is a little more trickier to clean…

Hey guys! I got the wonderful opportunity to feature on Icekream mag and share with their readers my 7 day style diary. I’ve attached a link below for your reading pleasure, I hope you enjoy! 🙂 Each of my looks are inspired by each days planned activities over and above how I feel that day, because feelings are temporary and impressions are ever lasting. http://icekream.co.za/2016/11/15/style-diary-thandolwethu-gagasi-fms-fashion-contributor/

We’ve seen a lot of clothing color preference change with each season change. However, it’s the primary colors which have been staples regardless of season. Some of us may have forgotten our primary school teaching of what primary colors are, so let’s refresh. Any of a group of colours from which all other colours can be obtained by mixing. The primary colors are respectively Red, Blue and yellow. All other colors of the rainbow are a combination of these primary colors. Season in, season out, these colors have remained a large part of everyones wardrobe – young and old. Primary colors are chic and fun to play around with whether worn alone as staple as or within a splash of other colors. So go on and have yourself a colorful summer!
