It’s always such a pleasure to watch the fashion space explore various ways of showcasing the beautiful work of our South African designers. After all, we do have many more days on the calendar which the world of fashion can occupy – far beyond just the annual Fashion weeks which have established a solid footprint.
On Thursday 15th of August, True Love Magazine in association with Mazda South Africa set out to host a “Night of Style” at The Galleria Conference and Events Venue in Sandton, South Africa. This is the second year of Night of Style, and this years installment featured the designs of Matte Nolim, Superdry, Rubicon, Loin Cloth & Ashes, RUFF TUNG, Polo, Ryan Keyes, JJ Schoeman, Orapeleng Modutle Style Avenue, La Art Nevoile Emporium and Gert-Johan Coetzee.
This was definitely a star studded affair, and everyone was dressed to the nines. Sponsors Bernini ensured each guest received a welcome drink to kick start the night. Sofn’Free ensured all the models had their hair in the latest hair trends, and Revlon took care of all the make up glam!
My favorite designer of the night was of course Gert-Johan Coetzee simply for the consideration of each detail of the show. From the choice in his music, it gave us an entire experience.
