In case you were wondering about my vibe .
I was invited to an exclusive Instameet at Durban Theatre of Shopping alongside Durban’s very best influencers . Offering you the ultimate shopping , entertainment and dining experience , Gateway is the biggest shopping complex in the Southern Hemisphere . Our first stop was at So – Whipped , which offers an outdoor experience inside. Located near The Wavehouse , So – whipped aims to connect people over a cup of coffee. Their coffee beans are purchased directly from farmers , thus supporting the local farming industry . That’s not the only thing which they serve , we were further treated to the most decedent sweet and savory treats in the perfect mini size. I was undoubtedly so so whipped! Our next stop was The Kase which is a Cellphone store offering such ” Unik ” Kases and cellphone accessories. We each got the lovely opportunity to customize our cellphone covers…
Myself and nine other Durban bloggers had the exclusive opportunity to be hosted by the lovely owner (Lisa) for a wonderful dining experience. Located on Florida road in Quarters Hotel, Lola’s Bistro has a very warm and welcoming setup. From the tender age of 8 with dreams of running a coffee , to actually running a coffee shop and now running a restaurant, Lisa still remains true to her motivation for the cause. Her passion for people, food, coffee and a sense of community has given life to a space which one can enjoy a full three course dining experience without breaking bank! I got to browsing through the menu and to be honest I am yet to find a restaurant which offers such great meals at such prices. There’s something for young and older patrons . From the traditional burger to bunny chows to roasted lamb shank to fresh pasta towers.…
Well , seeing as I don’t consume alcohol I find myself constantly faced with the same boring option of simply drinking soft drinks or Ice – tea ( my absolute favourite drink !! ) while everyone else’s drinks look so tropical . So, I have decided to share a recipe for a mocktail which I spotted from a Marieclaire publication. Oh, and just in case you didn’t know what a mocktail is, it’s simply a yummy non-alcoholic pretty version of the alcoholic cocktails (most of the time). What I absolutely loved about the recipe is that it contains ingredients which are easy to find and usually available around the house… and of course my favourite – ICED TEA!! INGREDIENTS 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves 3 green tea bags 2 tablespoons honey 4 cups boiling water 4 stalks lemongrass METHOD – Combine mint leaves, tea bags, honey and boiling water. –…
So once again , I grabbed the opportunity with both hands to explore my beautiful city in a way which I have never before. Redds Carnival , which is an outdoor event , was held for the second time this year on the Durban beachfront , and of course my friends and I took advantage of the themed party . We all dressed up carnival style and strutted all over the beach sand. The atmosphere was electric , with local carnival dancers as part of entertainment with their amazing floats on display . A great dining experience as well as sweet treats wrapped it all up before we enjoyed amazing performances by South Africa’s best music entertainers as the sun set. Looking forward to exploring my city even further this coming festive season .
I thought to share some images of me experiencing being a bridesmaid for the first time ever. The best part was sharing this very unique moment with my beautiful friends.
