I can’t exactly say that it was love at first sight as I was so confused as to how I would rock such a vibrant pair of sneakers. I feared just how limiting they could be for me. However, as you can tell, I managed to calm myself down and take this on as a challenge! And let me tell you, this is the perfect pair of fiery red kicks I never knew I needed in my life.
The over-the-top proportions and playful colors of the Suede Mayu are truly reflective of both PUMA and Dua’s personal style, making her the perfect face of the new silhouette. It’s giving cool, versatility and I cannot emphasize enough on just how comfortable these wrapped platform midsole Mayu kicks are.
For those of you who may be feeling how I initially felt, rest assured as the Sued Mayu is available in a variety of colors. These include a bold blue style as worn by Dua below, the fiery red I styled above ( looks more like a bright orange to me ) , a more classic black and white option too.

“It came mainly from the 70s, so having some standout, playful colors next to some regular neutrals, like black and white. The suede material is quite vintage with a retro feel. Then we added a nylon tongue and the open seem where you can see the foam, which is also more retro inspired.”
