Mask And Slumber Party

If there’s one thing you should know about me, It’s that I’m a sucker for some fun girl time. So, when Nomzamo sent me an exclusive invite to her Mask And Slumber Party she would be hosting in partnership with Neutrogena, I was so thrilled!

For those of you who may not know, among the many other roles Nomzamo Mbatha has, she is an actress, UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, PUMA Ambassador, Audi Ambassador, and the face of Neutrogena. Her light shines so so bright, and covers not only herself, but also those who in any way come in contact with her. The ever so graceful beaut shared some profound words at the dinner table about the beauty industry.

It’s important for me to just push a different narrative. I think the beauty industry right now is just inundated with things that are supposed to be aesthetically perfect. Whether we try to avoid it or not, some of us do fall into that trap. And then sometimes we go back and say, it’s important for anybody who’s looking at this journey to understand it’s not always perfect. It’s not always put together. – Nomzamo Mbatha

Once we had checked into our beautiful rooms at Fairlawns boutique hotel and spa, we all headed to dinner where Nomzamo gave us all a warm welcome, as well as introduced us to one another. The energy in the room was priceless! Post dinner, we headed back to our rooms to slip into our PJ’s to get ready for our slumber party. Nomzamo and Neutrogena sure do know how to throw a slumber party! Champagne, pop corn, tons more food and junk, massages by the Sorbet group and of course the Neutrogena Hydrogel Recovery Masks for our 15 min mask session.

I was there capturing some of the beautiful moments to share with you all. I wish I could have covered more, but, my biggest priority was to be as present as I could possibly be and bask in all that divine feminine energy. I learnt so much about myself, as well as about the ladies in the room. We shared many life lessons, laughs and really just had a great time!
