I had such a lovely time working with this talented team. What was most appealing for me was the way in which this shoot was handled. Firstly , Zinhle and I were given the opportunity to freely express ourselves by choosing our own outfits and we worked from there .
Because we were comfortable and felt well represented as individuals in what we were putting out , we were very open to taking direction from Zuki and Jarred to achieving the bigger picture.
I find that this approach is very important as well in the office space. Our opinion mattered in this shoot and so it should too in the office . Everyone’s input is valid and holds potential to be the groundbreaking solution .
Instilling in others the capacity to go dig deeper and stretch their minds is what true leadership is about. Power over a project should be well shared over , be it visible / invisible , formal or informal .
The other key point would be the importance of building . This shoot aims at connecting the Durban youth in fashion and building a strong ,loyal community .
