It’s always interesting to see how companies adapt with the ever changing consumption occasions and patterns of their end user. One company in particular which has had to do this is Cell C. Just last week they introduced a game first- to – market solution in connectivity and entertainment services for their customers. Before I give you a break down of Cell C’s latest offering, I just want to let you in on just how creative and well executed their press drop was via the images below. Cell C has introduced a revolutionary solution in the billing process for their customers. As some of you may know, globally, customers enjoy the convenience of being billed for connectivity and entertainment services all in one plan and bill. This is obviously great for the customer for many reasons. Cell C has now adopted that very same concept through MediaPlay. By signing up…
The maxi dress trend is one which many feel they can’t be a part of, simply because of their height. Well, let me tell you something – the maxi is not only for the tall and slim lady. Absolutely anyone can rock a maxi in style, provided you find a great fit which accentuates the best part of your body. I myself am really not as tall as I appear to be in images, and so this dress was a questionable choice for me at first. My first thought was that I was going to drown in all the material but to my surprise that wasn’t the case at all. I still feel as though the images don’t do justice to this dress! I love the combination of vibrant colors tossed up together and how light weight the dress truly is. I felt like I was literally floating in this…
If you follow me on social media then you know just how much of a foodie I am. Now more than ever, I am open to and constantly seeking new experiences which go beyond the traditional lunch/dining experience. You can only imagine just how excited I was to receive an invite to the SA Culinary Club for Cook & Dine. A yummy assortment of MacAllan cocktails were served upon arrival, which continued to flow throughout the evening. We were then welcomed and got a break down of what to expect for the evening, a concept they call Cook & Dine. Made up of a three course menu, Cook & Dine brings an exciting spin to ones dining experience by challenging its guests to prepare their own first course meal. I won’t lie, I definitely doubted myself in this area more especially when I found out what we would be making.…
Hey guys! Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to the Michelangelo Spa in Sandton for the BABOR Skinovage relaunch. We started the day off with a champagne breakfast, followed by a brief of why we were there, as well as what to expect throughout the day. I must say, I was very excited for what followed next – The BABOR Flatlay Challenge. As a content curator, it gets quite tricky when you want to play around and take images of products during an event. At this particular event, we were afforded not only the time but the space to fully experience the brand as well as capture it to best suit our personal aesthetic as you may call it. S/O to the team that put this challenge together, I’m so appreciative of their efforts. Only 30% of what your skin looks like is actually based on your…
Hey ladies! Over the past weekend I attended the She Invests event by the JSE Group. It’s always a good idea to open yourself up to gaining more knowledge on how to somewhat secure a better future for yourself and how best to take control of your investment decisions. As part of the programme, an important talk on investing in your brand was delivered by Kelly Fung, Editor in Chief of Elle Magazine South Africa. She gave us an overview of the various ways to working our personal style into the work space. More importantly, how we should let our clothing choice help make our mark, support our view point and empower us. One way of communicating the above mentioned is also through ones accessories. From the jewelry you choose to wear, the shoes and even your bag – it all speaks for you. I’ve come across an interesting article by Ackermans…
Hey guys! If you follow me on my Instagram, you’ll know just how much I’ve been embracing my bold side and loving red pieces in particular. These images are the second installment of the shoot styled by Zuki. What I wore: Nomi Velvet Pants and a red Carla Camisole from Diane-Paris ; Rio heels by Dolce Vita Inspired by classic lingerie, Carla camisole is cut from silk and cotton blend in a flattering V-neck silhouette. The languid drape works particularly well half-tucked into jeans or tailored pants. This look involved quite a bit of playing around with texture. From the faux fur, silk top, velvet pants, all the way down to the feathery heels. I genuinely enjoyed playing around with this look – I even changed my hair from sleek to big curls in between it all. By the time the images arrived, I actually didn’t know which hair I…
Introduced in 2015, the NIVEA Perfect & Radiant was developed specifically for women with dark skin ( African Women ). The NIVEA Perfect & Radiant range offers a comprehensive solution for uneven toned skin, with its full range of cleansing and care products for all skin types. The No1 skin problem amongst women in SA is having dull and uneven ( dark marks ) skin tone. I’ve had my fair share of such an experience especially because I used to spend a lot of time on the sporting field – in the scorching sun! What made matters worse is that at the time I didn’t have a skin care routine in place. Fast forward to this present moment, I’m now fully aware of the benefits of cleansing my skin, as well as the fact that I can actually have a good skin routine in place at an affordable price -…
The very first time I was introduced to the name Diane Paris was through a Top Billing insert. It was in that very moment that I knew I would one day strut in their pieces. As time went by, I started paying even more attention to the brand which is worn by the likes of Kefilwe Mabote and model Rosette Ncwane. Diane is a ready to wear women’s brand rooted in Parisian femininity that is effortlessly chic and timeless Perfectly crafted for the petite frame, the Diane Paris clothing brand was launched in the french capital – where her fabrics are still sourced for further manufature in Poland. When I stepped into their showroom in Dunkeld, I felt warmth, comfort and effortless-chic! I then went on to select and try on some pieces that had caught my eye. For the very first time in a LONG time, I began to…
This look was literally never going to make it up on the blog. However, while I was thinking of an Instagram caption for one of these images, I thought of the caption “A hint of Spring in Autumn” and a series of thoughts instantly came to mind. Perhaps this has got a lot to do with the fact that I’m currently reading a book titled “Talent is never enough” by John C. Maxwell. Although I’m only halfway through the book, I’ve already gained a wealth of knowledge. A lot of my beliefs have been re-affirmed, my mindset has been transformed, I’ve learnt much about myself. As a result, I now have such a different approach to life and the many unique situations I experience each day. Let’s not stray too far from what got us to this point – the outfit. I’m wearing a simple pair of black skinny jeans,…
As we wrap up the month of World Environment Day ( 5 June ) , I thought I should share my concern for the environment and that I am all for sustainable fashion. Did you know that the fashion industry is ranked as the worlds second biggest polluter after the petrochemical industry?! After doing some reading, I’ve come to learn that Stella McCartney is one of the designers who has been at the forefront of the green movement. Living green through her personal life and through the world of fashion. Although it has taken quite some time, Stella is one of the designers to have paved a way many others have since followed. Lacoste recently crafted 10 new polo shirts, replacing their iconic crocodile with 10 endangered species. H&M is another brand to have switched up their practices as seen in their seventh Conscious Exclusive collection, launched 19 April 2018.…
