I had the pleasure of attending the official launch event for The Rabanne H&M Collection. Held at Circa Gallery, the venue was the perfect place to celebrate this one of a kind collaboration. Rabanne H&M flirts with fantasy, dances through decades and dreams about the future. Bringing together the carefree exuberance of the 1970s, the optimistic futurism of Rabanne and a touch of retro-inflected romance, the collection channels a modern vision of approachable opulence, joy and confidence. The announcement of Rabanne H&M during Paris Fashion Week marked the end of months of eager speculation and anticipation. The revelation took place during a star-studded party at club Silencio. Pop icon Robyn kicked off the evening with an exclusive performance, while DJ and producer Peggy Gou kept the crowd dancing. The event provided an electrifying first glimpse of the collection, with special guests such as Cher, Elle Fanning, Peggy Gou, Robyn, Irina…

H&M South Africa is celebrating curves with the launch of five new styles and shades added to its popular Curvy Fit Denim collection. The collection is designed with less gaping at the waist and more room through the hip and thigh. The design aims to offer customers a comfortable fit that will hug their bodies and inspire them to celebrate their curves. The denim in the collection is made using more sustainably sourced materials like BCI cotton (BCI-Better Cotton Initiative), recycled cotton, and recycled polyester. “We are excited to add more styles to The Curvy Fit Denim range, following the success and demand when we first introduced this product to our South African customers. With the latest campaign, we want to continue to encourage our customers to own and flaunt their curves and their style the best way they can “ says Caroline Nelson, H&M South Africa Country Manager. The…

Long story short, we made magic with the incredible squad which includes Lechelle Aldridge, Simhle Plaatjies and…

It’s official, the Kangol x H&M collection has finally hit SA shores. Streetwise icon Kangol meets H&M with a 31 piece collection with iconic streetwear brand Kangol. Featured as co-collaborator is Mabel, BRIT Awards Best British Female Solo Artist and international music artist. Legendary streetwear label Kangol is one that can be instantly recognised for its kangaroo logo. Throughout the years, my introduction and re-introduction to the brand has been through the world of Hip-Hop music, with LL Cool J, Missy Elliott and other greats making it one of the coolest brands growing up. With that said, the classic Kangol bucket hat for one is a piece in the collection I can foresee selling out immediately. What pieces can you look forward to? As we officially dip out of Summer and into Autumn, the Kangol x H&M collection couldn’t have dropped at a better time. For the self-made generation like…

Hey Lovers! I’m sure you all know by now just how much I love it when big retailers play a part in either giving back to society or of course playing their part in reducing waste that goes out into the environment. Through the Garment Collecting initiative, H&M is doing just that! H&M South Africa has been taking the necessary steps to ensure they play their role at fulfilling the goals they’ve set out towards a more sustainable fashion future. Through their partnership with Clothes For Good, a local social enterprise based in Pretoria, H&M touches on upcycling and recycling, two of the many ways to fulfilling their goals towards a more sustainable fashion future. For me, it’s definitely being a fashion recycler and the overall inclusion that this initiative encompasses! How it works: Step 1: Clothes to Good will collect customers’ recycled garments from the H&M Distribution Center Step…
