When I first heard of Starbucks At Home, and saw posts from their social media influencers, I wasn’t quite clear about what this new experience would be all about. Well, on 28 August 2019 I had the privilege of attending the official Starbucks At Home Launch at Ferguson’s 5th Floor, and I’m here to tell you all about it. NESTLÉ has officially launched a new range boasting 17 coffee products under the Starbucks brand. This is the first product launch in Africa since NESTLÉ and Starbucks formally joined forces and created a global coffee alliance in August 2018. From whole bean and roast coffees,  ground coffees and of course my new personal favorite… capsules.…

I couldn’t quite place my finger on exactly how the collaboration would translate to global markets, yet still remain true to the core values of the Mantsho brand, African prints and textures. However, Ihat I did know was that Africa was ready! On a fine Wednesday night, I missioned to Victoria Yards, which mind you, I’d never been to before. It seemed like quite a random location for such an occasion.  However, because I know just how well researched and strategic the H&M team is when it comes to creating a full on brand experience,  I knew it would be a night to remember! After all, we do have many more days on the calendar which the world of fashion can occupy – far beyond just the annual Fashion weeks which have established a solid footprint. On Thursday 15th of August, True Love Magazine in association with Mazda South Africa set out to host a “Night of Style” at The Galleria Conference and Events Venue in Sandton, South Africa.  This is the second year of Night of Style, and this years installment featured the designs of Matte Nolim, Superdry, Rubicon, Loin Cloth & Ashes, RUFF TUNG, Polo, Ryan Keyes, JJ Schoeman, Orapeleng Modutle Style Avenue, La Art Nevoile Emporium and Gert-Johan Coetzee. Hey lovers! Just yesterday, I had the exciting opportunity to be part of the exclusive reveal of the Advanced Génifique serum. The informative press event held at the L’Oréal South Africa Head Offices was led by Namate Moyo [ Marketing Manager for Lancôme ] , Ashley Fernandes [ National Education, Retail & Services Manager, L’Oreal Luxe ] and Dr Heidi [ Advanced Research Manager Sub-Saharan Africa at L’Oréal ] I must say, the best thing about this session was having Dr Heidi in the room. Dr Heidi’s portfolio covers South Sub Saharan Africa, which includes raw portfolio ingredient and technology support towards skin and hair. She is also in charge of the incubator and the open innovation L’Oréal does within her region. She did a great job at helping us understand all the scientific terms and how the skin works beyond what meets the eye. Now back to the product.…
